We gratefully accept donations on an ongoing basis, in cash or cheques; also, we accept donations in kind (from stores and wholesalers) such as gift cards, dry and canned foodstuff, clearance sale women and children’s clothing, women and children’s shoes.

Special Events: We hold an Annual Clients' Party during the month of December. This event provides an opportunity to meet new friends and to experience a sense of belonging to about 60 isolated and needy immigrant and refugee families who are experiencing abuse in the home. We strive to offer toys and other gifts to these families so that they do not go home empty-handed. Donations for the Annual Clients' Party are gratefully accepted: toys, teddy bears, skin-care products, new clothing and footwear for women and children and any other item useful to women and children. We regret that we are not able to accept used clothing, furniture, small or large appliances.

Your donation will help us to provide additional services to low-income women, including:

• Transportation subsidy
• Emergency cash
• Nutritious snacks for Children’s Groups

VLMFSS is a non profit society incorporated in 1991, under the Society Act, in the Province of BC.

We are a registered charity and hold a charitable tax number. We can issue official receipts for income tax purposes.
